Enjoying and wasting time is a different story

You know how when you waste time and you truly enjoy that time, it is not a waste of time. Happiness is what life is about and by wasting time and having happiness, I have just said, that is what life is about. It's all a cycle. See, I'm now wasting my time writing this and totally ignoring my lectures slides for this short 5 minutes is a great way to bring simple joy, taking a break isn't wasting time, time is wasted if you don't enjoy doing that nothin'.

But however contradicting it is, time should never be wasted because it is precious. Enjoy every moment and you will never waste time again.

I will certainly miss Abby dearly.

As everyone know; our lifegroup - named NOMADS is the best ever. Sad news first, Abby whom is one of our sister in the family will be leaving Adelaide and is going back to Malaysia for good. It is certainly the most devastating news. We made a farewell for her and also did a long video to show her how everyone appreciated her. Not to mention our happy life group leader cried in church whilst we secretly made another video of her too (to show her how much we care and how much we understand her). This was merely done just to thank these two great people in our life group. Without them, it is just never complete. Of course, everyone else played their own roles too =P

Can never forget how much fun we had together. Best time I've had with the wonderful 2nd family. Will upload two videos soon once I get hold of them. Got to study for the upcoming 2 more exams before I can fly out of the cage. Phewwwww..One down today. Two more to go. Aza Aza Fightin'! (n.n)v

The decision

Now I'm very torn between. Thought it'll be over but not. Can't even go to sleep. There's this crazy solution whereby I need to step out of my comfort zone and make the decision. I hope there's still hope in this world. Oh yea, church says we need to have faith, not hope. People can have hope without faith but never the other way round. Anyway, will certainly make the decision tomorrow and see how it all evolves. Next year may never be the same again or who knows? It may be a new beginning.

Nails it is!

So here I am again. Talking about nails. If you know me well enough, I'm certainly a person who adores nail colour and design. Wanted to take an elective on nail design but there's no such choice in Uni. Sighs, why is there life painting in Uni but no nail painting. So unfair right? Oh well. This post is to tell you my fav nail colours and hopefully you might have the same thoughts like I do. =)

Without further ado, let me present you my FAVs for this coming summer! I bought every single one of this nail polish here because apparently its cheaper than in Malaysia (better than those China branded ones that might harm your nails *winkwink*)

Caffeine day

Yesterday my aunt uncle and their daughter come over from Melbourne and we had lots to eat the whole day. I went to botanical gardens to meet up with them while they waited for their daughter to finish exam, which was held in the Royal Adelaide Hospital. We waited in a restaurant called ETC (east terrace continental) as we had something to drink and talk lots about our lives. Of course, my uncle who is a fan of coffee had...MOCHA..my fav. This is his first cup of coffee hopefully today. And then, after 2 hours of long chat, we went over to another cafe near the hospital as guess what, we had tea and coffee again which then we had his second cup of  coffee. I was impressed that he can have cups of coffee after coffee like consecutively. We chatted for another half an hour and clocks already ticking 2.45pm until their daughter came out from the exam hall. Everything seems alright but she mentioned the exam was hard. Who dare says finals are not tough eyy..especially the last exam in your entire life, right? Thus, we headed of to Chinatown Gouger street to have lunch.

The buses failed me again and again. I can't seem to find the 99c even though we waited for like 45 minutes already (I know it's saturday) so we gave up and took a taxi there since she was too tired to walk everywhere with an empty stomach *I totally understand that feeling*. Once taxi fare strike AUD11.20, we reached our destination. I brought them to our all-time-fav chinese restaurant which is BBQ city. Not to say that it's the best but I can say its not bad and quite cheap so yea. Ate until our stomach bulged out and then we had chinese tea. See, in fact, today my stomach didn't stop digesting until now.

We say our goodbyes once we finished our lunch and headed home to where we came from. No, the story didn't just end here..=O Then after 1 hour we met up again for dessert since our late lunch is somesort like a lunner (lunch + dinner) thus we got to Eggless which was in fact my fav dessert cafe so far in Adelaide if you have been reading my other posts. ;D ;D

We waited like 20 minutes for the bus (the buses failed me *white flag* not sure why but everytime when I desperately have guests with me and wanted to tell them how punctual our bus is, this always happen THE BUS CAME LATE WTH right?) So we reached Eggless and fair enough, we cannot book the place since we have only four people. Waited and waited for seats. *awkward silence all the way*

I guess this post is the most detailed one so far in this blog. Here comes the pictures. =P Sat down. Had a great service and starting munching awaaayyyy

 Our lil gathering <3

My Iced Chai' =D

Her Teh Tarik!

The soso curry puffs! Still missing my grandma's one =(

Uncle had so many cups of coffee wonder will he be sleeping last night. Not sure will we be going to Barossa Valley though. Hopefully yes! =)

Got lots to do already.

When times got rough

I've been sick for quite some time but still life goes on. I can't realllly afford to miss lectures or tutorials. My life is just a day by day process repeating itself. Can't wait for November to be over and of course for the finals to finish. This pain inside of me is just excruciating. Please, enough of this sleepless nights and ongoing fatigue. I want to be healthy and happy once more.

I'm now typing this because I did skipped a lecture. Don't judge me because you won't know my situation. Just wanted to give myself a short break and clear the mind heal the body and soul. I miss my family lots because it's like a feeling that I've havent seen them in years. Nawww..That's not too bad, we'll be going off to Marvellous Melbourne for a holiday and yes, I will save money to shop there! xD Think on the bright side, everything will be over soon. All these suffering.

Subtract pain, add forgiveness, divide your burden and multiply love!

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally forgot the matter.

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle and, fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words. What do you think were the four words? The husband just said "I Love You Darling"The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he have taken time to keep the bottle away, this will not have happened. Nopoint in attaching blame. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship in giving each other support. After all, shouldn't forgiving someone we love be the easiest thing in the world to do? Treasure what you have. Don't multiply pain, anguish and suffering by holding on to forgiveness. If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.Take off all your envies, jealousies, unwillingness to forgive, selfishness, and fears and you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think...!<3

5 reasons to Go Green w/o lifting a finger

Let’s face it – you’re not really that interested in saving the environment are you (unless it saves you money or calories)? Now now, no need to get defensive. Read on for some handy tips on how going green can actually help you save money and calories.
1. Eat less beef
The next time you’re at McDonald’s, go for the Filet-O-Fish instead of a Big Mac. According to aJapanese study, eating beef is more destructive to the environment than driving a car. The research showed that the production of 2.2 pounds of beef resulted in greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to the same amount that would be emitted by driving a car for 250km at 80 kmph. In other words, eating a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder for one week is more damaging to the environment than driving to and back from Johor to buy cheap toilet paper.
If you’re not really into going green… then do it for your waistline. A Big Mac has 704 calories, almost double the number of calories that the Filet-O-Fish has (380 calories).
2. Eco-Tote it
Do you fold empty plastics bags into little triangles like an auntie? Or carry around your wet umbrella in a NTUC Fairprice bag? Get a recyclable bag. Now. Please.
Aside from the fact that a recyclable bag makes carrying your groceries far easier (and less unglam), using a plastic bag as a tote bag is quite possibly the biggest fashion faux pas of the decade (along with Crocs). Also, they come in a plethora of colours, styles, and materials, so what’s not to love?
If you’re not really into going green… then do it because you want to make a fashion statement (remember when everyone and their Moms started toting around those ‘I’m Not a Plastic Bag’ bags?). If you’re especially cheapo, look out for shopping deals which give you a free Eco-Tote with a purchase. Or you could always lurk outside a conference hall and try to score a free one with corporate logos printed all over. It’s okay, we won’t judge. It’s all for the good of the environment.
3. Print on both sides of the page
…and if you’re as hardcore as the admin auntie in our office, you’ll print unimportant documents on rough paper, then use it as a placemat for your nasi padang lunch. Not to sound like a righteous tree-hugger, but approximately 1 billion trees worth of paper are thrown away every year, so even if you’re not footing the paper bill (don’t lie, we know you secretly print personal things in the office okay), at least do it for Mother Earth. And the future of your children. (cue Michael Jackson’s ‘Heal the World’ song)
If you’re not really into going green… then do it to look good in front of your boss. (“Oh, I’m just really into saving the environment…and money…”)
4. Switch to online banking and billing
Because unless you’ve been living under a rock, nobody pays their bills by sending a cheque in the mail anymore. Get an online banking account to set up automatic payments and get your billing or account statements online. No more bills piling up on your desk (literally), no more paper cuts and no more licking stamps because your pesky sister used up your UHU glue stick.
If you’re not really into going green… then do it so no one will ever find the bill for your secret shopping credit card.
5. Get a dual-flush toilet
Or flush one less time per day, because flushing the toilet uses up about 4 litres of water per flush(that’s two big bottles of Pepsi – the kind you get when you order the Family Value Meal from KFC).
Dual-flush toilet systems help to conserve water because it allows you to flush different levels of water. In other words, if you’re not taking a dump, use the half-flush button so the flush will use less water to wash away your nasty bits.
However, take note that this does not mean you should avoid flushing the toilet after using it (especially if it’s a public toilet). Sure, you may be saving 4 litres of water, but the cleaning auntie sure isn’t going to appreciate your environmentally-friendly ways.
And if you’re anything like the woman from the office down the hall who doesn’t bother to flush after taking a dump (or, at all), people will start to notice and label you as a Serial Non-Flusher.
If you’re not really into going green… then do it because you’ll save a shit-load of money (no pun intended).
